Privacy policy
Your adventure belongs to you.
Who makes this game?
Lecture Dooms is published by Matt Salinas, an independent developer. This policy covers the Lecture Dooms Android game and its website at lecturedoom.win. Questions or privacy requests: [email protected].
Game saves and settings
The game stores your current run, chosen upgrades, discovered relics, best score, and sound/motion settings on your device. We use these only to continue your game and remember your choices. The game does not upload your progress to us, and we do not operate a player account or leaderboard service.
In the browser, these records use local storage. The browser may also cache game files for offline use. In Android, game files are packaged in the app. Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup of app data are disabled in this build. Browser or operating-system tools outside our control may still copy browser data.
Free means the whole game
All gameplay, endless runs, routes, relics, and stat upgrades are free. The app has no billing integration, payment screens or subscriptions.
Website visits and external links
Our own website code has no advertising cookies, analytics tags, contact forms, or social tracking widgets. The lecturedoom.win site is prepared for hosting on the publisher’s own server through Cloudflare. Private review copies may also be hosted with OpenAI Sites. Hosting and security providers necessarily process technical requests such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and request time to deliver and protect the website. They may use necessary security cookies and logs under their own policies. These providers may process requests in other countries. The game server does not keep visitor access logs. Provider retention is governed by their service policies; we do not control or promise an exact deletion period for provider security logs. See OpenAI's privacy policy and Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Links to sources, Google, or other sites leave the game or website. Those services have their own privacy practices. Packaged Android gameplay and the included legal pages do not need to load a remote website.
Support messages
If you email us, your email address, message, and any information you choose to include are processed by the developer and the email provider (Microsoft Outlook) to answer you. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, school details, or a child's personal information. A parent or guardian should contact us for a child. We keep support conversations only as long as needed to resolve the request, normally no more than 12 months after closure, unless a legal obligation or unresolved dispute requires longer. The mailbox is protected by the provider's access and security controls. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
Children and families
We design the game so children can play without sending us personal information. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children, profile players, sell player data, or use targeted ads. Trivia is optional and has no penalty for a wrong answer. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact [email protected] so we can investigate and remove it, subject to legal retention requirements. We do not use gameplay or quiz answers to assess a child's ability or health.
Delete your data or ask a question
In the game, open Settings → Delete local progress. This removes the saved run, records, relic archive, and settings from that browser or app. You can also clear this website's browser data or clear the Android app's storage. There is no player account to delete.
You may ask to access, correct, or delete support information by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object to processing, restrict it, receive a copy, or complain to your local privacy regulator. We will respond in accordance with applicable law and verify requests proportionately without asking for unnecessary information. We do not sell personal information.
Security and changes
Public website connections use HTTPS. Game saves are kept in the app's private storage; they are not a cloud backup. No system is guaranteed completely secure. We will update this policy when the game's data practices change and update its date below. Any new data collection requiring consent will not start merely because this policy has changed.
